Spring time

It is Spring time in Florida. How can you tell? Birds, birds and more birds. They are everwhere and they are hungry and they are fiesty. Soon they will begin building their nests! I love birds. The Robins have visited and that made me so happy and I even had Blue Birds and a Blue Jay in the yard and that really got me excited. LOL Nathan loves birds too, so I can enjoy that with him. I am starting a lesson plan on bird nests. I found a list of stuff that birds like to use for material and then Nathan found a partial nest that fell out of tree and it had some material in it, so that was really cool. The assignment is to collect material and make a nest.
There is a Jay outside right now, calling a way. I love Spring in Florida.

We had some good rain this Winter, so we should have a nice show of wild flowers for Spring time. The kids and I have some serious gardening to do. Weeds to pull, beds to build and plants to place in the ground. I also want to have a Sunflower garden. Mikey can help plant the seeds and then watch them grow and then he can sit under his plants. :0 I love Spring.

So much promise at Spring time. Everything is new and fresh. The trees leaf out and then sun warms the earth. The birds sing and have broods. The daylight lasts longer and there is more time to play outside! I love Spring.
