Getting started
Then I went pricing curriculum, like Saxon and HOLY SHIT... I can't afford that. I will be making it up on my own for awhile.
My needs list is staring to seriously grow. I need to get it down on paper. Todd's education is a little more complicated than Nathan's.. simply because of his grade. I need a world map. I need a globe. I need a dry erase board and a chalk board. I need things I don't even know I need yet. LOL
I need to write a schedule. I need to write a few weeks of lesson plans and field trips. I need to find out what classes are out in the community that we can use. I need to take a deep breathe.

It's gotta be so overwhelming at this stage. I'm going to check with my mom to see what sites she uses and let you know. She gets a lot of her stuff online, there are many teacher resource sites that for a one time fee (or sometimes yearly) you are free to print off and use whatever you need. Also, make a list on here or on Scrappy Chic, maybe some of us have some things that could be of use to you. I am so excited for you!!
I happened across your profile as another person in SW Florida. May I suggest that you look into Freecycle in your area? You can post a request for homeschooling materials. Start out at www.freecycle.org.
